The sonde measures parameters important in tracking the intensity of a persistent Planktothrix harmful algal bloom.The purpose of the dataset is to provide a continuous dataset tracking the cyanobacterial bloom in Sandusky Bay. The bloom produces the hepatotoxin microcystin, and measuring the intensity of the bloom will assist in developing models that can help predict bloom intensity.
