The University of Minnesota, Duluth, with funding from the Great Lakes Observing System and the National Science Foundation, maintains two meteorological buoys. https://seagull-erddap.glos.org/erddap/tabledap/obs_229 | https://seagull-erddap.glos.org/erddap/tabledap/obs_229.graph | North Central Lake Winnebago Buoy | The North Central Lake Winnebago Buoy (NCWB) is deployed in Wisconsin's largest inland lake, Lake Winnebago, which eventually flows into lower Green Bay and then into Lake Michigan. The lake is a shallow system that experiences seasonal algal blooms, which serves as one of the drivers for this moored buoy. The buoy also monitors meteorological conditions, temperature profiles, and selected water quality parameters. NCWB is deployed in 3 meters of water and utilizes cellular communication for real-time data transmission.
